Police Commissioner Thomas R. Sofield Sr. announced today the swearing in of Police Officer Christopher Orza.  "I am pleased to welcome this fine Officer to the Long Beach Police Department," Commissioner Sofield stated.

Police Officer Orza comes to the Long Beach Police Department with three years of prior law enforcement experience, serving with the New York City Police Department.  Most recently he was assigned to the Midtwon-North Precinct.  Officer Orza graduated from Nyack College, with a Batchelor of Arts degree.  Prior to attending Nyack College, Officer Orza attended Long Beach Catholic and Public Schools from grades K through 12, graduating from Long Beach High School in 1996.
