Police Commissioner Thomas R. Sofield, Sr., of the Long Beach Police Department announced the arrest of Jesse Holt, 26 of Greenlawn, NY.  Mr. Holt was arrested for allegedly committing two burglaries that occurred in Long Beach.

Detective Lieutenant Vincent Buscemi, Commanding Officer the Long Beach Detective Division stated, “The Long Beach Police Department’s Detective Division in conjunction with the Nassau County Police Department’s Detective Division have been persistently investigating two burglaries that occurred in Long Beach.  One occurred on June 24, 2006 and the other on August 11, 2007. I am pleased that our joint and painstaking efforts came to fruition with the arrest of Mr. Holt.”

Mr. Holt was charged with Burglary 2nd degree for the burglary that occurred on June 24th and Burglary 3rd degree for the burglary that occurred on August 11th .  Burglary 2nd degree is a class C felony, if convicted the maximum sentence is 15 years in prison.  Burglary 3rd is a class D felony, if convicted the maximum sentence is 7 years in prison.  Mr. Holt was arraigned in Long Beach City Court before Judge Bogle, who set bail at $7,500.00.
