Police Commissioner Thomas R. Sofield, Sr., of the Long Beach Police Department announced, the promotion of Police Officer David Williams to Detective. “It is with great pride that I announce the promotion of Police Officer David Williams to Detective. Detective Williams is a six-year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department and has served with distinction. He has been decorated 5 times for Excellent Police Duty and has received the Department’s Commendation award. He also received the Police Officer of the Month award 4 times. He is an asset to the Long Beach community. The promotion is well deserved,” stated Commissioner Sofield.
