On May 23, 2021 at about 5:30 AM Long Beach Police responded to 431 East Broadway in Long Beach for a report of shots fired and a male struck by gunfire. A male was located with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Multiple rounds were fired into a common hallway entrance. One of the rounds struck the victim and one of the rounds went through the window of a separate occupied apartment. No one in that apartment was injured. Long Beach Detectives are actively investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact the Long Beach Detective Division at 516-705-7320.
