Community Announcement – May 9th, 2022

Please be advised, the Long Beach Police Department is currently conducting its bi-annual parking clean-up program, wherein officers survey vehicles parked on every block within the City for compliance with all State and local laws and regulations. Derelict, abandoned and unlawful vehicles will be removed from the City’s roadways. Scofflaw and Suspended or Expired Registration (more than 90 days) may be immobilized and/or Impounded.

This program has been shown to help ensure maximum parking availability for residents and visitors, as well as to improve quality-of-life conditions. We ask everyone to please assist the Department with the program by ensuring that your vehicle is properly registered and that vehicles parked on City roadways follow all laws and ordinances.

It is anticipated that this survey and enforcement effort will be completed by the end of May. As always, the LBPD is highly focused on road and pedestrian safety. We thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
