The 4th of July Holiday Weekend is approaching and Acting Police Commissioner Richard DePalma wants to remind everyone to have a safe and sane holiday. To help keep Long Beach safe, Commissioner DePalma reports that additional police officers will on patrol performing DWI enforcement, licensed premises inspections for underage patrons, plainclothes patrols and fireworks enforcement. “If you are going to drink, don’t drive” said DePalma and added “Leave the fireworks to the professionals.”
Additional patrols will begin on Wednesday and continue throughout the holiday weekend.
