On June 28th, 2021, at approximately 01:00 am, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident, involving a marked City of Long Beach Police Vehicle at the intersection of Lindell Blvd and West Broadway. Officers at the scene conducted standard field sobriety tests, and it was determined the operator of the vehicle that had collided with the City of Long Beach Police Vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. Subsequently, 32 year old Jamie Grutman from Island Park was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
