UPDATE ON LOOP PARKWAY EVENING CLOSURES:
The New York State Department of Transportation would like to advise you of upcoming overnight closures on the Loop Parkway in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.
During the week of Monday, November 14 and the week of Monday, November 28, both directions of the Loop Parkway will be closed weeknights between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. This is to facilitate the ongoing rehabilitation of the drawbridge over Long Creek.
There will be no closures the week of Monday, November 21.
A signed detour will be available between the Long Beach barrier island and Long Island’s mainland via the Long Beach Bridge (Long Beach Boulevard connecting the City of Long Beach and the Village of Island Park).
