In response to longstanding concerns and complaints about bicycles, both motorized and not, traveling the boardwalk at unsafe speeds, bike riding etiquette signs have been deployed on the boards at strategic locations. The size and placement of these signs are designed to force riders to slow down to an acceptable rate of speed. The Police Department will be monitoring the success of this program and make adjustments as warranted. Please remember, for the enjoyment and safety of all, the boardwalk is intended for slow bicycle cruising only.
