On June 28th, 2021, at approximately 1:00 am, Officers received a call for an alcohol emergency in the area of Edwards Blvd and East Olive Street.

On June 27th, 2021, beginning at approximately 6:00 pm, The Long Beach Police Department monitored what is referred to as a “Sunset Party” which took place in the vicinity of Edwards Blvd and the Ocean Beach Park.

Within the next few weeks Residents of Long Beach will become the first on Long Island and some of the first in the state to use a new community engagement and feedback solution after interactions with the Police Department.

At approximately 7:28 AM, the Long Beach Police Department received several calls that reported an unknown person had jumped from the roof at 370 West Broadway.

The Long Beach Police Commissioner, Ronald J Walsh, has announced that the Long Beach Police Department will be participating in a county wide “STOP DWI” initiative over the Memorial Day weekend.
